Pretty sure it was the base model 2wd Traxxas slash. The name XL5 comes from the esc name, which was the Traxxas brushed XL5 ESC that came stock in all of the base model 1/10 trucks and cars, before they swapped to the BL2S esc and motor combo a year or two ago, and phased out the brushed models.

I think the xl5 series are done, as they should be.
The xl5 is a 12t brushed motor.
Its been replaced with the bl-2s series brushless motors.
The trucks are usually upgraded along with the brushless power systems to the newer "extreme heavy duty" suspension parts.
