I bought an airbrush and am excited to try it, but I'm a little nervous. I have a compressor that I use in the garage with my other air tools... ie air ratchet...fill up tires and such. Anyways can I use this with my airbrush? Do I need to dry the air? If so how? Thanks.

Yes you can just tuen your regulater down to the recomendend pressure or else if will blow your brush.

With my airbrush I use a huge 7 ft. tall air compressor with a regulator. I have no problems at all and never needed dry air.
Like bandit said, just make sure to crank the regulator down or you will blows the seal on your airbrush. also add a drop of oil into the coupler after every use to eliminate water.

Thanks.... I originally started with a cheap $10 airbrush with a can. Let me tell ya IT SUCKED. so I bought a dual action one to use with a compressor and spend more money on it. Hope it turns out for the best. Any tips for making your own masks... liquid vs masking tape. Or any place besides xxxmain to get masks?

I have a water catch on my compressor. Its a vapor trap.
The last thing in the world that you want mixing with laquer paint, is water.
The trap cost me like $15.
Its worth it to me.
