Driving R/C in the winter time?

i live in massachusetts its been pretty wet and rainy lately. if i get the bugs out of my mt2 ill try it soon. :hammer:

Sorry couldnt get on wasn't home but, here in alabama it snowed like a year ago but only like a foot. The temp usually gets down to about high 30's and fortys in the really cool months.tonite it was 40 which is unusual for this time. Iv done the (Plasti-Dip) stuff and had the same experience that olds had but it worked well the first day out w/ it. Man that day i fliped the truck in a huge mud puddle and the engine sucked like a half-cup of muddy water through the air filter. That was fun to fix. Ill definitely try not to crash any time this winter while driving now hearing yalls stories.

here is a link with pics of how to waterproof your electrics with the plastic-dip link i have done this to mine and it has lasted forever ... you dip the whole thing ... make sure when you do the receiver you have the servos and battery plugged in or you will have a hell of a time cleaning it out to plug in ...

also the big thing about running in winter is what you do after you are done .. bearings need to be oiled and any metal parts needs to be dried and even oiled ... or it will rust .... i have fun in the winter with my truck ... in the pic you can kind of see the plastic dip on the servos .. i went 2 coats ... and it is think so it was hard to get everything in the radio tray again ... as it was said you need to block your cooling head from the air ... aluminum foil works great for this .. if it runs too cool the sleeve doesn't expand like it should and you will wear your piston and sleeve prematurely....
