Have a helimax axe ez

took a nice crash and burnt a motor. bought a new motor (it was the front one) and now when i apply throttle it doesn't get enough lift and it cuts off??? any ideas? servos work and both motors appear to be fine.. replace gears already.. any ideas?:surrender:surrender

Check your mesh, make sure it's not too tight. Check the rotor shafts to make sure they are not bent. A very slight bend could cause the upper rotor shaft to be rubbing inside the lower one.

gear mesh is good mesh is good... i think the rear motor may be going bad too.. it made a loud pop..lol and started to smoke

Apparently the power was still on and the motors were trying to turn.
Sorry, but my diagnosis above was for a twin rotor. You have the seperate tail rotor.
Be thankful the ESC didn't burn out, and yes, I'd say you need to replace the tail motor also.

there isnt a tail rotor.. its an axe ez.. maybe i just don understand my machine

I should have checked.
It's DUAL rotors and no tail rotor then, right?
Does each rotor turn freely by hand?..I'm sure you know how much motor resistance you felt in the past.
If the other motor smoked, replace it. Don't turn it on till you have, to avoid more problems.

On that AFTER you replace the motor you might have to re adjust the gyro. After i had replaced mine awhile back it did the same thing. Also in the crash, it might have been bad enough to possibly burn out the 3 in 1 on that thing. I had one go out after several crashes and had to replace it. I'm guessing though that your gyro is just twiked a little. AND when you do adjust it do NOT use a metal screw driver!! it will really mess it up.
