got this in a e-mail... and want to spread it to you guy....... :spit:

not a chance. They will raise our taxes and get it from us somehow!

$4 to get it out of the ground...then it gets kinda refined...then shipped over seas because we have very few refineries capable of refining RAW crude oil all the way to gas you can put in your car....so then it come back to the U.S. and put into one of the many pipelines accoss the country and goes to a transfer station where they add clensers, agents, O2, and all kinda of other stuff to make it brand specific, then its trucked to the local gas station. So yeah, $4/barrell to pull it out of the ground but what about all the stuff thats done to it in between Crude oil and 93 Octane Gasoline?

I'm almost out of gas, and my driving is done for the day, so when I go for the half hour drive I have to do, I am going to fill the tank. I dont care if the gas was $10 a gallon(well, lets hope that never happens) I'd still buy gas.

yea, but those of us whom are tight in money (college student myself) it's hard keeping up with it all from school supplies, books, tuition, insurance, car note, ect.)

Damn, how do I keep this hobby up?

Yeah, at $20+ a gallon for nitro!

Whatever we become dependent on, the price of it will start high anyway. Short of wind or solar power, we are going to foot the bill. Even with solar, it's so expensive with such little results...

If all these deisel runners convert to peanut oil, what do you think will happen to the price of peanut oil? It won't be going down...

Olds, that is about the most astute statement I have heard today. Good thought for the day.

Welcome to capitalism!

you are too young to remember his claim of inventing the internet......

lol, that sounds funny...him claiming to have invented the internet....but then again, who knows....on AFN (Armed Forces Network; the TV stations you get overseas) they had commercials claiming that the military created the internet in 1990. Then in iT the other day, it says it was invented by the military and a private company in the 70's a little, but mostly in the early 80's...talk about propaganda...

Gore's a bafoon, plain and simple. Just think the state of confusion we'd be in had he won back in 2000. The net has around since the 70's with governments being the primary users. Really think back to the early 90's when you thought your 14.4kbps modem was smokin! Now we can get Broadband on our airplanes, initial cost is only about $400K and then your looking at about $40K/month for a constant connection.

he invented pants, too. (snickers commercial)

Ok, think about this: I work in intermodal transportation. if the price of diesel goes up, and I mean a lot.... who do you think will pay for it? Do you think the people who move all of the products, and I mean all, will eat the cost? Nope. For instance, we just call up our customers and tell them a new rate is coming. since everyone is raising their rates, we just undercut them. not too hard, since our parent company is one of the largest rail companies in the US. our stuff runs on the rail, then by truck. Not as much pollution, and road congestion. so, the bottom line is this: higher fuel prices=more expensive everything.

I would, if I needed it.
I get 400 miles to the tank with my new ride :p:
Thats 75 miles more then my Ford and is 7 gallons less per tank.

$3.19 here for regular. Probably gonna get a lil cheaper but I highly doubt it'll get back to the way it was. Damn, I remember when I first started driving, premium was $1.09. I even remember way back to 1975 when I was with my dad filling up the family car. I think we filled up the tank with a little more than $6. AAAAAAAAH, the good ole days.

I saw gas in NJ today for $2.95 and another for $2.99.
Sorry guy's I had to fill up.
I wouldn't have made it home.

i filled up my car & my wifes van today $107 total. just to cheese you off & help make up for what you didnt buy :spit:

I had to fill up a rental car when I returned it in Dallas. Fly home, we had to buy some Jet A for the G-wiz. Got home and had to put some $3.259/gal premium in the Bimmer and then went out to dinner with my wife and daughter and had to fill up the pathi. Spent $100+ of my money on gas and another $2600.00 or so of other people money today on gas/fuel.
