Hey all, this is my first post on the forum. for christmas i had a 1/8th Ansmann Virus, its broken in 5 tanks, and I've given it a good beating so far. it seems to be holding up well, today the back shock screw came out, which is now fixed and the other day i ground 4 teeth of the middle diff gear which engages with the clutch. that's also fixed with a new part. i brought it in to my garage today, took the exhaust off, and the fuel tank, cleaned them out with water, dried thoroughly and its now in my garage, do you think I'm doing well so far, no major crashes or accidents.

I'd keep water out of anything to do with the fuel system. If you run the fuel out of it every time you finish driving, there's no need to do anything else. Clean exhaust residue of the machine with nitro cleaner.

Sounds like you're doing everything right.
Just remember, it's more important to make it LOOK good than to RUN good, so keep it nicely waxed. :D
