Does this sound like a receiver problem? Or what?

So I'm haveing a problem with my T-Maxx 2.5r. When I turn the truck on and test the servos (while holding the truck up off the ground) the steering servo, throttle/brake, and the forward/reverse servo all run strong for about 5 seconds. Then they lose power extremely fast, so it doesn't steer at all, and the other two servos are very slow, underpowered, then stop working. The steering servo is new, so I dont think its a servo problem. The battery is totally charged, and so are the batteries in the remote. I've gone over all the plugs, wiring, batteries, servos, multiple times. The only thing I can think of now is the receiver? Thanks for the help in advance :)

Sounds like the battery isn't any good or isn't taking a proper charge. Your using that 3000mah Hpi pack, right? I'd charge it at about 1.5-2 amps, unless it specifies that to be too much. Shouldn't be. If your using the traxxas power pack charger, I'd say that's the problem. The traxxas charger puts out 1amp. It should take a good 3 hours to charge that battery. If it's telling you it's charged in 20-30 minutes, or something like that, it's lying to you.:)

A good charger is a must for this hobby and is something everyone should eventually get.

Do you have one of those cheap 4cell AA holders? I'd plug that in with new alkalines and see how it does just to rule out the receiver or servos as your problem.

Well I went through for like the 5th time and cleaned out all the plugs with the compressed air cans used for like keyboards and made sure everything was tight then I ran it for a few hours yesterday and everything did great :) So I'm thinking it was operator error. Haha.
