I'm just wondering after watching this video, do all buggys take this kind of abuse, or is this buggy really tough?

Just curious as I've seen savages break in half after jumps smaller than this..:\
Lol heres the savage 'incident'

Ya most of your good quality buggies can take that kind of abuse, all of the parts on a 1/8th scale are pretty beefy, but if you do to much of that it will break parts on any rc eventually..

For the most part, yes. I have a Thunder Tiger EB4 S3 and it's the toughest thing I own at the moment after just a couple small upgrades.

I used to run a Tamiya buggy (Manta Ray) years ago (maybe 15 in fact) and it was as hard as that too. Used to take all sorts of abuse and bad driving etc. Well built buggies are as hard as nails. Also they have more rigid chassis and limited suspension travle so they don't tend to twist up so much on landing, and while that doesn't absorb as much energy, it does stop them landing funny and twisting the chassis in all sorts of strange ways. My Bro and I both used to beat on our Tamiya buggys all the time and only really ever knocked out an a-arm or 2. I think my bro broke a bathtub once, but that was after a lot of torture beforehand.

Thats not even a good buggy. The XT2 Pro is a low end Hyper 7, and is a good toy, but thats all.
The driver of that buggy went a long way to keeping that running though. His obvious landing skills kept it as smooth as could be, until the end anyway....

Whats a bathtub?

One of these:

It's a generic name for that type of chassis, for reasons that are no doubt obvious ;)

....

I was gonna comment on the Savage owner being a bit of a 'tard doing that kinda jump right into a rock hard front lawn. It's clear he hadn't got a clue what he was doing, or it'd have landed on it's wheels and driven off.

I've got a losi 8ight that's taken way more abuse than that buggy and i rarely break stuff. I agree with the previous post though in that the driver really reduced the risk of breakage with his driving skill. A lot less damage in just landing a jump.

The guy with the Savage I think removed a few screws both from the truck and his head... what an @$$ kicking it after words... Like he has all the money to do that. :\

(cough cough) get a (cough) slash (cough cough)

Agreed... ;) though I'd still would like to get a 1/8 buggy some day. And one with a good name. Not one with a brand name "Acme". :p:

the savage movie is a fake. it was set up to come apart.

i had the hyper 7 pcr and it was the toughest rig i have ever owned.

losi 8ight , now theres a buggy.

the eight is worth every penny. thing is an absolute beast on any track and really easy to work on. if you get one, first thing to do is the diff oil, front, center and rear. i didn't do that immediately when i got it. when i did get around to it, holly crap! i thought it was awesome before that but afterward, the traction was unreal. i've got the rtr version, comes with a mach 427 engine. i know a lot of people like to rag on rtr mills but there aren't may guys with comprable aftermarket engines that can take me with that engine...

We'll, speaking from someone that has had this buggy yes, it is as tuff as nails!! This was my first buggy..I had it for quite some time and never broke a part on it. I noticed the plastic's the xt2 are really soft which allow for more flexing in crashes IMO. Out of the box its definently not a track buggy (although you can still have fun) but it great for bashing!!!

Ya there is pretty much no way that savage should have came apart like that. I do that to mine a few times every time I bash for sure.

Here is one example lol.. pay attention to the end... all I did was strip a spur cause i knocked the engine out of place a little.

Don't forget the hangtime my MBX5 was getting that very same bash session... Still no broken parts (other than a clutch bearing that disappeared).

Mannn...those vehicles are tough...the savage that broke..looked sus..lol.

My S25 was a little better than it but by not much. I must invest on lots of alloy parts first before I can do stuff like u guys can.
