i do lots of bashing and i wuz wondering if it would b wise to purchase(or build) a role cage 4 my MT2. and can anyone give me a estimation on how much one would cost?

hi well i had a role cage for my t-maxx and it has advantages and disadvantages with my experience. Its very useful for bashing your car around but it also gets in the way. When you work on your car you have to take it on and off. It also adds weight to your car.I found that if just have a tough body around your car it is much easier. Anyways it would probably cost around 50 dollars.

HELP!!! nevermind roll cage. Body reinforcements?

okay as u can see I'm 2 cheap to buy a rolecage so i was wondering if there is any way to do body reinforcements. Just so that way when i am bashing and it roles or flips, the body doesn't flex enough 4 the engine and other stuff to hit it.Also so i don't have replace my body. So what can i do? Any ideas?

Shoe goo and strips of lexan can help reinforce impact areas.

Well a rollcage would fix those problems. Iv seen someone take tie rods and place to the inside of chassis and connect ri top a arm... idk how that would work though. i just got a cage and it all helped. Just look on ebay theres tons of cheap ones there...

something i did was go out and get a Proline or similar .060 lexan body. they are really strong and can take a beating. if you need more reinforcement, i use resin and Fiber glass sheets. about 2-3 layers of resin and FG sheets should make it alot more durable in the front and back and the roof but it does add some weight so watch out and just use it where it needs it the most.

or you can do the shoe goo and scrap lexan too. works well also but i like the fiberglass resin method. and it should be cheaper than buying lexan if you dont have extra. and you can get it in any auto parts store for cheap

You can also get the fiber glass resin and sheets from everyone's favorite place,
Wal-Mart!! Just kidding about it being everyone's favorite place. The resin is a little cheaper there though.

Roll cage

i noe, i noe,
there is already a forum from me (HELP!!! nevermind roll cage. Body reinforcements?) saying i didn't want a rollcage but i wanted to reinforce the body. But then i thought well i'm probably going to get a new body every once and a while(as in it breaks or i don't like it anymore) and it will probably not be as protective as a roll cage. So i am sticking to rollcages............for now, lol.
So can anyone recommend a site that makes rollcages FOR A LOW PRICE
(not ebay i checked and they don't have one for my truck) or can anyone make me one or sell me your old one?
By the way i have a HPI Nitro RS4 MT2 G.30 and i can't seem to find one for my truck so.... ya,

thanks!

i already saw that, its garbage.

How is that garbage, what do you think you're going to get for "a low price", that is what you're looking for right, something low priced? You will not find a $50 RC Solutions roll cage for your rig.
