did i mess up my reciever?

whats up guys. i took my servos out yesterday to plasti-dip it came out good. this afternoon when i went to insall them the steering wouldnt work.i changed it to my throttle port and the steering worked, is my receiver?if i plug the steering into port 3 will i be able to run my car. also if i have to replace my reciever can i buy a 2 channel reciever even though its an airtronics mx-3?

Hey player I heard you got your cha-ching. But now you have to buy a rx. Man doesn't things just fall in to place ! I have the same radio and I am sorry to say it won't work if you plug it in to port 3. Thats for the third channel on your controller. So if you have a t-maxx you could change to reverse or rig up something else. That channel doesn't have a pot, its just all the way right or left. Just get a novak rx at you local hobby store. Just make sure its am or fm. and the right mhz. peeeeeeace also check the pins on your rx to see if anything coating it !

p/n 2475f 62.99 at hobbypeople.net . I paid 45 at the store about a year ago same p/n . must charge more on the net! I am sure you can find it cheaper some where else. I highly recomend it because I never had a pron with novak. Even from my eletric days. I search for a cheaper price and let you know.

tried to find you a cheaper price to no avail. Towwer has the same one as hobbypeople but with a diffrent p/n. Theres is p/n lxbj80 and its a xxl rx 62.99. They also have the p/n lxwl88 syn fm rx but at 89.99 or a airtronix p/n ll6063 for 79.99. I would just get the novak if I was you. Cheaper price and good quality. Or just look around for one. peace

I think you might have void the warrnety by doing that. I not saying cheat out the company but can you make it look like you didn't tamper with it ?

ahh i now notice what it is. i used a solvent glue on my reciever. and it must have gtten in and ruined the first port becasue of how low it is. if i sent it in they would crack it open and discover it. i wonder if they can repar it for less than 62.99 if so i will have to keep this one because i really dont have the funds at the moment to pay for all of this.

Is the glue on the motherboard? Can you post a pic?

i dont even have it open and i dont have a digi cam.you know how to pop one these babies open. right now i will do anyhitng to save me some $$$

nope i just cracked this puppy and i used my magnifiying glasss and theres no glue it stops at the creases thin the plastic thatnk god. i hope that airtronics will replace it. i used this think like twice even though i got it in like april

Are you certain you didn't get some plastidip on the connector? Try scraping the pins with an exacto knife to clean them. Make sure the battery isn't installed first. You should never plug or unplug anything from the receiver when power is applied.

Did you try the other servo? Maybe the connection is bad. I would squezze the connectors on the bad servo. then try again.

Its not the servo i switched them and tested and it worked nice fine. its my receiver i will ship it back to airtronics and see what they say about it.
