I've got a Sledge running on a Castle Creations Mamba Monster ESC paired with a 2200kv Caslte motor running off of 6s.
Tonight I was out running around when it just shut off then turned back on. Little while later it did it again, and then again and again, etc. Sooner between each previous time. Eventually it got to a point where it wouldn't come back on anymore. I had been out for maybe 20 mins by this point ( normal run time is 45-60 mins)
Checked batts on charger, sure enough they're not at LVC yet. I keep diggin. I've had issues with my on/off switch before so I by passed it (+ to -) nada. ESC won't even come on.
Swapped traxxas vxl 6s esc in. Boom, all lights, sounds and movement are functional.
Did my castle ESC bite the dust? I know it's old, but it was working great- until it wasn't
No magic smoke, no burnt smells, no explosions. Just a silent good bye?
If so, I'll be looking for a different setup to throw into this sledge on 6s.
