With the threat of bad weather for this weekend, the rain date will be on the following Sunday, July 25, 2004. We have some FABULOUS prizes. Don't be left out by not coming. Please PM me or Team 17 if you are making a last minute decision to attend. Directions to the park are in the first post of this thread.

Rain or shine, I will be coming. Diver, hit me off with a cell # via pm just in case it is canceled.

Buncrana, Bring it. The last time we went, my Monster GT was out of the box new.
Try to run a few tanks through it on Saturday, and I will adjust the tuning on Sunday.
It will be ready in plenty of time.

Well, so far, it does not even resemble a truck but I will continue to work on it 'til I pass out. I should have it ready tomorow so ya never know. Thanks for the offer to help with tuning.

We're all here to lend a helping hand. Lot's of dirt mounds to get her dirty on sunday!

LHS Donations

I would like to thank NYC Hobbies and 105 Hobbies for the generous donations they have made for the Dash and Bash II. QURC thanks both these shops and the others who have donated in the past and for their continued support of the QURC spirit.

I dont know guys... the weather is not looking to good for tomorrow. I'll see what it looks like in the morning, then decide if I'm going to drive an hour in..
Hope to meet you all real soon..

check the weather on www.news12.com for Long Island...local weather. Shows rain coming "late." SHould be good to go. Just finished gluing the tires on the SS. Just got the engine to mount, exaust, and throtle linkage...I hope. Bringing the T-Maxx either way.

The weatherman has been wishy washy all day. I will be up and looking out my window by 7 AM. If it's raining, then I'll be staying in since the lot will take a while to dry out. Otherwise, if it's just overcast, I will be out there with Mark and who ever shows up till the rain starts. I will PM everyone on the attendance list with my cell # so you can get the final word if the day is a go or no-go.

EDIT: We will be out there according to mark but basically if it rains, when it rains the day will be cut short.

Didn't want to take the chance of driving over an hour and then have a rain out in the middle of the event. According to the Weather channel it's suppose to rain around 12pm. So I will see u guys next week.

Yeah. Sorry, I'm out too.
Too much to pack up, and take the trip for a 50/50 chance of rain before noon.
and 100% by 3:00.
Catch you next time.

Rain held out, was a good day too...other than those dam trucks taking up half the lot. I still say I should have just put my TMaxx through one of the bus windows.

Same here... Got a late start this morning, & it definately looked as if the sky was going to open up here... I will definately make it out there one of these weekends for sure....
Hope you guys had a great time...

today was a good day to test your driving skills. the drivers (vito, big phil, roland, and spongebob)of NYC Hobbies showed us how real driving looks like. they were averaging 19 laps per 4 min main on a tight track. given the fact that i was the only rookie driver, i held my own against vito with 18 laps.

You could've held a 19 lap time if you didn't get so greedy and determined to catch up. Other than that, you passes your litmus test and they are looking forward to having you race for them.

I didn't want to take the chance on going all the way there.
Also, it started to rain here in Staten Island at about 10:30am.

Well we are going to have to do it next week on the 25th for those of us that didn't want to take a chance. I'll will be there weather permitting.
