if that doesn't work with checking idle screw check you clutch... if the spring goes it can do that because it stays engaged while you apply the breaks ... same as stopping the fly wheel.

it could also be the clutch won't disengage. If the spring pops off it wont close or open

Why is it that some new guy opens up the attic and gets an old thread out on a weekly basis??? You are getting dust everywhere!!!
