finally had a decent crash that did some damage to my nitro rc. was doing some bashing in the yard and wasn't paying attention and slammed car into house. the only visual damage i can see is the front dogbone(front drive shaft from center diff to front diff) is bent. question is there a way to check chassis to see if its bent? and is there anything else that i need to check? thanks

Take all the wheels off and set it on a flat surface. Or use a strait edge to check for gaps front to back.

ok, thanks. should of said its a ofna hyper 7 tq.

The Hobao buggies are pretty tuff & take a good beating, the chassis may have just flexed enough to bend the shaft but not stayed bent. From what I can remember I think they have the 4mm chassis don't they. My Hobao Hyper 7 PCR did anyway.

I agree they are very tough. I was thinking the same thing about the chassis flexing just enough. The only bad thing is the dog bones are on back order and no one knows when they'll be available. I'm sure I could find it eBay, but I dont have an account.

Measure the dogbone in mm and check to see if anyone has one from another brand like hpi that is the same length. Pretty sure you can use one off say a hpi vorsa or trophy 3.5 buggy.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'll measure dog bone and see if I can find one. Th anks again

kinda dumb question, do you measure from pin to pin or from end to end?
