All right Cody stop putting off the inevitable before you miss THE DANCE all together, LOL!!!! I know your trying to out wait the release of the Losi 2.2, but it might be Xmas before it gets released at the rate they are going, LOL!!!! Just go get your self a AX10 ARTR, the Venom Kit, or do a custom build with a chassis of your choice and some Axial and tranny and start having fun like the rest of us:D

stop forgetting the berg kit!!!! just alittle more money and way better! lol.

The last piece of the puzzle needed has been received now... Hobbico CS-170 titanium geared servo! :)

good choice! i love my cs170, i plan to get a higher torque some time but this one works very very well.

The build has gone perfectly the entire way through and I was amazed I was getting this far w/o something going wrong... it finally did. Screwing in the set screw for the pinion gear and I busted out the side of the pinion so I have to make a trip to the LHS tomorrow for a new one.

All in all everything is done other then installing electronics and putting together my wheels, which brings me to my next question. How much weight do I need to put in the front and rear tires?

there isnt a set in stone perfect amount, some guys only run like 4 or so oz in the fronts and 3 or so in the rears. at this exact moment I'm running 12 oz in each front wheel and I'm at 5 oz in each rear, but I'm always changing the rears though, never much less than 4 but usually up around 7-9. id start with 7 in the fronts and 4 in the rears and see with one 1/8th inch hole drilled in each rim how bad those stock foams sag, you dont want to much give out of them and you definatly dont want the rear tires to give as much as the front.

I'm not running stock foams - Panther tires with memory foam.

well i meant the stock memory foams bro. either way do the same thing.

i had 3 in each front and nothing in the back, i just moved up to 6oz in the fronts and 3 in the rears. ill let you know tomorrow if it works better!!

thats one thing though, tires, different tires and foams like different wieght. your hammers like alittle wieght and i think your at a good ratio now beason but woodies panthers are a great tire to get flattened out by a bunch of weight imo.

I'm running 1lb. in each front and half a lb. in each rear which i like alot but i never ran panthers and i know they like to sag more then others

thats 1lb total wheel and tire included forgot about it

but like SNG said drill a 1/8th hole for sure

Whats wrong with this?

Had to run down to the LHS because my little radio shack pencil soldering iron just wouldn't get hot enough to heat up the Traxxas high current connectors. So the LHS put them on for me on the ESC and Lipo.

Got home, put the electronics on the truck and drove it over a few pillows and decided I don't like how my transmitter is setup that pulling the trigger causes it to go backwards and pushing it causes the truck to go forward - PLUS I have NO turning at all when trying to go left, so I decided to put the truck back on the bench when I discovered the above.

One front and one rear shock already blown their caps. Time to rebuild already ;)

i might be wrong but as best i can see, arent your seals in the wrong spot on the shocks? think they go up inside the caps on the stock axials.

Your battery is mounted up to high, you need one of these http://www.eastendmachining.com/st4liandbase.html it is designed to move your steering servo over next to the drivers side front wheel so you can mount you battery down lower next to the servo. As for you shock caps I never has a problem with them popping off, but have heard of a lot of people having that problem, I always just made sure the shock caps were really tight. tour other options are Losi crawler shocks, Traxxas aluminum Big Bores, or aluminum shock bodies like these http://www.eastendmachining.com/stalshbofora3.html both the lipo battery mount and shock bodies come in other colors if you don't like black and want to add a little more color to your rig:D

I'm with slow on this one. i can't see the red seals on my shocks when they are sealed up. i had one loosen up on me but it didnt pop.

sounds like you have all kinds of radio setup issues. you can try just reversing the TX but on one of the radios i tried i had to reverse the direction of the motor in the esc setup.
