I just bought the last e-Firestorm Flux brushless and the connector is kinda weird with a 2 little flat strips that are perpendicular to each other.

I could not find a compatible connector battery (I use LiPos) so I went to my Hobby Rc shop and hey told me such adaptors do not exist and basically I have to use a soldering iron and instll myself a compatible connector to my LiPo battery ?? I am still surprised I have to do all of that....(if my story makes sense) anyone in this forum aware of compatible LiPo batteries that I can directly plug to the e-firestorm flux motor ?

thank you.

Sounds like a Deans connector which is the industry standard high current connector and arguably the best you can use other than a direct solder.

You will either need to make or buy an adapter depending on what connector you have on your lipo pack, get a proper connector to put on your esc, or put a Deans female connector on you lipo pack.

If you choose to solder the Deans female connector on you lipo, be sure to only cut, strip, solder and cover with heat shrink one wire at a time. If you cut both wires and they touch for even a split second, you lipo pack will short and will be garbage.

I you are not comfortable with soldering, you may just want to get an adapter.

For the record, lipo packs can come with all sorts of different connectors. Simply telling us that you run a lipo pack does not tell us what connector is on it.

What connector is on your lipo pack?

As far as I know the E Firestorm Flux comes with Deans plugs, one of the most popular electric connectors around. Of course I could be wrong.

If your not confident in your soldering skills then buy your batteries from Maxamps and they'll fit them for you.

thanks, your maxamps website is great.

you're right i think it's Deans and I need a Deans Female. My LiPo is from VENOM 20C 11.1V 4000mah (i think one of the most powerful on the market) with a TRX plug, see thelink below:

thanks.

Yep the plug on the pack you linked us to has a traxxas plug and you more then likely need to change it to a Deans plug, like rob said it's easy fix by changing it to a Deans Plug or you could make Deans to traxxas converter but I would not recomend that because you are adding more points of resistance which create heat, and heat is bad...
