I'm unable to find the SD card through the built in card reader.
It should show up in 'removable drives', but I get nothing.
First time using it since I'm setting up the HD GoPro cam.

Stupid question, Rolex, but is the card reader plugged into the motherboard?

The other possibility is that the card is an SDHC card and the built-in reader can't read them. I have had this happen.

When I plug my card in, I can access it through the "G" drive, maybe check all the drives?

If it was working before you installed you camera apps try looking in device manager to see if the drivers are installed. I know Itunes can cause similar issues.

I had an unrelated problem accessing the internet, so I rebooted. That also solved the issue with the card reader.
Thanks for the advise.

You might have a point there since this is the first time I've used it in about two years.
It would be the reader, since it wouldn't read any of the 3 cards I tried, and doesn't show up unless there's a card in the drive.

Btw let me know how you computer plays back your videos on your computer in full 1080p cuz my computer has 3gs of ram and it stutters while playing the video.

May have more to do with the vid card, media player and codec than the PC.

I've been using KM player and GOM player for most video playback. They seem to use less resources than some other media players.

I don't think it's really a hardware error. I think it's a PEBKAC error, Rolex.

I got realplayer and better codecs works alot better now no studering
