What are compatible receivers for futaba 3pm fasst 2.4 ghz radio? the r603ff is discontinued, so what receiver would work?

I refuse to give up my 3PM radio... I love it! The only thing is the price of Futaba FASST receivers are insane. Even some of the used ones still get top dollar. FrSky, Cooltec, Redcon, Orange have some FASST compatible receivers. The FASST compatible receiver that I use are below...

Well, I searched and searched, and came up with just about nothing left out there as far as FASST compatible/surface C1 Mode receivers go. The key is when the compatible receivers say C1 Mode (surface). This is almost the exact same receiver I use on my ET410...

A couple of years ago you probably could have bought the above receiver for around $26. My Redcon receiver has been in my mini truggy since 2019. I never had any issue with dust/dirt affecting the unit.

Good luck.

Hi folks. New here but not to RC stuff. I have the Futaba 3PM and want to get a Rx that will bind to it as I am putting together another 1/24 scale rock crawler. I live in Canada and I not a chance yet to check Amazon. Can anyone suggest to me the model of Rx that I could get for my new build and where I might find it.

Welcome to the forum. You can find R603FF FASST receivers out there. Even the used ones, you'll pay close to new $85 prices if in good shape. I still don't quite understand why Futaba FASST receivers cost so much. Checking eBay can be hit or miss. The FASST compatible receiver that I linked in earlier post are still available.

Just because something says FASST/FASST compatible... you want C1 surface mode receivers. If looking at the FASST compatible receivers, the 4 & 6 channel models are usually the only ones switchable between surface and air modes. Gotta dig a bit deeper into specs like shown below.

I thought about that after I left the comment, remembering you mentioning C1. But figured I'd just toss it out there for you guys to do the legwork in case maybe they had other FASST versions. I gots a lot going on this morning, so good catch 😉
