ok, newbie question here.. here's what I got ofna/picco .26, Fioroni option team "turbo slide" flywheel/clutch combo, and ofna 18T clutch bell. When everything is installed the end of the CB goes past the point of the e-clip and becomes flush with the end of the shaft. I noticed the shaft is threaded inside at the end, I know it's an "sg shaft" although I honestly don't know what that means. Did I buy parts that don't fit or how do I secure the CB? I know this quesion is quite similar to another recent thread but it's kinda the opposite I guess.

There is a screw that holds the clutchbell on, and it is supposed to be flush with the end of the shaft. The inside of the shaft is threaded becuase that's where that screw goes into that holds the clutchbell on. I myself haven't owned an engine that used E clips to hold on a clutchbell and if that is done it makes me wonder why?

Out of the 2 engines I've had that had a crank shaft with a threaded hole in the end, I used a 3mm X 10mm button head with a washer on it to hold the cb on. It's better than using the c-clip anyway. I kept losing c-clips, then the bearing would fall off...

If it isn't flush though, you may need to move your flywheel closer to the engine to get the extra space. On both my engines, I had to cut about 3mm off the end of the threaded crank shaft to keep it from hitting my trans case on my 21 maxx. The engine mounts wouldn't let me move the engine back far enough. Now that one of the engines is on my savage, I doubt I would have had the same clearance problem.

The only other engine I've had experience with is the TRX 2.5 and it uses an e-clip. I kinda thought that the threaded end was for securing the CB but just wanted to make sure.. thanks
