Can I use WD40 on my Titan motor on my Slash? I though it would be okay to spray around the openings but not directly into it with stuff dripping out. Is this okay? Reason for asking, my oldest son and I ran it outside for a long time today. To boot we ran it through some mud, mulch, wet grass and several small puddles. Just wondering if WD40 would be safe if I removed the battery and sprayed some close to the vents to possibley remove any left over water inside?

I wouldn't use WD40......it's an electrical motor.

Stick to the cleaner linked, and don't take the chance of ruining it. Not even sure if standard electrical contact cleaner is safe or not.

Thanks for the advice ya'll. I will continue cleaning around the motor with a rag and RC cleaning solvent only on the WP stuff.

Nope, you want to use stuff specifically labeled for cleaning motors. The reason being is that stuff like brake cleaner, while it smells alot like the motor cleaner, will eat the epoxy on the windings. Which in turn will make a 19T into a 1T motor.
