How's it going everyone on this fine Thursday night? As some of you may know i just bought myself my first ever new Spektrum TX a DX6C it wasn't an easy decision since sometime next year i plan to upgrade to an IXSR. Although knowing i have fallen out of love with my Radiolink RC8X and i know if i keep using it somethings bound to happen like more glitches or binding issues and i don't want to buy anymore receivers for it and support Radiolink's sketchy company and business. I got my new DX6C on sale with a SR315 receiver for $145 not including the extra AVC receiver i decided to get to run in my Felony so it all totaled out to almost $240 with OK Tax and with time i'll be getting more receivers and eventually get the IXSR which they all will bind to it.

And some of you might be wondering about my old XO-1 project which it is currently all taken apart and i'm still deciding if i want to rebuild my current one or buy a new RTR like this one.

But i might take a break from my XO-1 stuff for awhile and work on my Felony and my Vendetta as well as get more receivers for my new radio.

So that's all for now let me know what you all think in the comments below.

Hi everyone, How's is your Saturday going? I haven't done much today aside from some research as well as prep my Felony for what's coming in tomorrow.

Out with the old.

This is the start of a big change and the Felony will be first car to get what's coming if you can guess from the first post of this thread and it's quite fitting since it'll be like putting back in the receiver this car originally came with. From what i know from the owners books that the car came with it originally had the SR6200A receiver which is what i bought last Thursday. And mostly i hope that the move to Spektrum will be much better or be somewhat better than what i went through with the Radiolink RC8X which was a massive letdown and a potentially dangerous product.

If you want more info about that debacle here's a thread link talking about the issues associated with Radiolink and their products and shady business practices.

https://www.rctalk.com/forum/threads/new-radio-radiolink-rc8x.138874/

There are only so many ways i can talk about Radiolink and the RC8X without sounding like a broken record. I wish i hadn't bought that radio and just either kept using my 4PM or buy a DX5C which both are known to be way more reliable even if they look less fancy, don't have touchscreen interface, The high receiver costs or as many features in my opinion they still outclass it in reliability and support. Radiolink's support is virtually non existent and is essentially useless compared to both Futaba and Spektrum\Horizon Hobby which are all big names in the hobby industry they also own up to their failures\mistakes and try to fix them and help their consumers whereas Radiolink is small Chinese company that can't or refuses to standup for their products and failures they even try to censor\hide and sweep under the rug their issues and faults and blame their users for any issues. Do not buy buy radiolink products there are better cheaper brands out there like Flysky and Radiomaster who produce way better quality products and they have acutal support. I repeat many times over Do Not Buy Radiolink! You will end up regretting it and if you support them and try to call out others for knowing the real truth Shame on you!

I forget what thread but today I was reading that @DavidB1126 's bad radio link experience was in some question.
Maybe @DavidB1126 could link this to show he wasn't alone!
Its a shame when a product doesn't work out.
Its wrong when a company continues to profit on that product. The shame is shifted to the company at that point.

I can't wait to see these cars rolling!
Good luck!

I'm sorry, I just had too for the people that love radiolink radios and deny that there was issues to begin with 🤣🤣😅

(Cause that is what radiolink customer service always says and denies their own faults.)

But a little update. Most rc8x radios I seen on marketplace are mostly just sitting there. Well that was last time I checked it about a month ago. Radiolinks official help group which is managed by radiolink, they had turned it to private so who knows if these issues are still going on. But I wouldn't chance it getting one of their junk radios again and dealing with their nasty attitude. Me and my buddy that basically ran the uncensored version of the radiolink group on FB, we just deleted it because we all decided to officially move on and not deal with them anymore.

Been happy with my current radio systems / combos (flysky/Futaba) and will stick with them until they become obsolete in the technology world. I can actually trust them and drive further out without any worry. And other brands customer service actually is wanting to help people and solve users issues and questions.

Maybe one of these days I'll make a video and post it on my channel and hopefully notify people about these issues. But it hurts myself thinking about this brand so I probably won't. But yea that's a last update from me as I wanna move on.

If anyone wants any more info, @CJSRCLIFE basically says it all in his honest replies:

I see where you're coming from and i feel the same way also thanks to @DavidB1126 he is the one that told me more about the RC8X's issues he sold his awhile back and bought himself a Flysky Noble NB4+ he also got a Futaba 3PV from a contest i believe. I will eventually sell my Radiolink once i have enough Spektrum Receivers i already pulled them all in prep for the future DSMR receivers i plan to get at the ending of this year as well as for my birthday coming up. Also i plan to give the DX6C it's first proper run this Wednesday i'm excited to see how well it goes.

Thanks but it's not here yet but it will be on January 16th next year. I'm not sure what i'll get by then i was hoping to do a new XO-1 V2 or the IXSR but because i bought the DX6C this month the new XO-1 V2 or IXSR will have wait until later next year like spring or summer but i'm in no rush. Most likely it will be maybe it'll be a new Arrma Fury V2 or something else within a $200 or less budget. I bet your gifts were a lot bigger but i hope you've enjoyed them.

You've got bigger stuff coming once where i've got small stuff coming often.
I am happy because I'm building a fun car from my past that I won't mind running. Shopping- on countless sites has got my mind racing! I love finding this stuff.
I wush I could buy it ALL but I don't live in that world.
I did splurge a little this month because I founf a chassis on sale and 5he seller was ggod enough to accept an offer to essentially pay for shipping and tax for me. I couldn't pass it up.
I have been talking with other suppliers and even spoke with a guy who machines slipper shafts. Ppl around the world who all have a similar interest in the same silly pieces of metal `nd plastic share that with me.
Its even more fun for me because these cars are old and niche. Its a challenge. Finding the best deals and meeting lots of ppl has been a lot of fun for me. I hope your builds do the same for you!

How's it going everyone? In a couple weeks October will be coming to a close and the start of November will see another update but i had fun this month bought my new temporary radio a Spektrum DX6C and i've been impressed with it so far. To the point where i'm not sure if i still want to go forward with the plan to get the iXSR or stay with the DX6C.

Here's some pics of this months runs with the new radio and the Felony.

I also got the new radio setup with my Slash 4x4 Ultimate just need to get out and run it when i get the chance.

And most likely in the coming months the last of 2024 and through early 2025 i'll be collecting and binding new Spektrum receivers for the rest of my cars\trucks there are only a couple things i discovered about my new radio that i wish it supported or had. #1 i wish it had the support for 5.5ms setting on the receivers and #2 the scroll wheel does take some getting used to but it's hard complain for the price i got it for on Amazon for $145 with an SR315 RX included not counting the SR6200A i also bought with it. But overall it's about as good as my much more expensive Futaba T4PM and feels a bit better in the hand in terms of reliability and signal strength compared to my old Banggood 7PX ripoff called the Radiolink RC8X it was superior in almost every category except for the user interface. Hopefully this radio holds up in the future and maybe when i can afford to move up to the iXSR it'll be as good as the most high end Futaba's and Sanwa's that i always used to want a long time ago but lacked the features i wanted or were discontinued before i could get them.

That's all for me right now, cheers.

Hi everyone, Just got done running my Slash 4x4 Ultimate with my new radio the DX6C sped around my neighborhood a bit as well as jumped off my custom built ramp my dad built for me last year. I had a blast but she did start overheating at the end so i called it there after 20 minutes of running. I ran her on my old trusty Povway Amazon 5,200mah 3s battery.

Here she is on my ramp next to the radio and battery i ran today
20241020_145357.webp

I also had no issues with either the truck or my new radio, I am truly loving my new DX6C so far although it's no iXSR but a good starting point to work up to something like the iXSR and i feel it was definitely worth $145 on Amazon not counting the AVC receiver i bought along with it for my Felony.

That's all from me for today unless i decide to run my Felony next.

How's it going everyone? I had a good day this Friday i got to run my Arrma Felony known as Serena 2.0 today and had an absolute blast drifting her around my street. I even did a burnout on the curb in the front of my mailbox she smoked tires no problem i'm probably not going to do it all the time to preserve the tires. I'll probably stick to drifting and straight runs so far i'm on 7 - 8 runs on my car since i bought her in July 2024 as a new roller.

Here she is after today's run in front of both my Dad Steve's 2018 Subaru Forester and my Stepmom Risa's New 2024 Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid.

I know it's not next to a real muscle car or something fancy but these two real cars have to be the nicest my Family's ever had especially the Tucson Hybrid certainly the nicest\most fancy car my family's ever had. And i hope it serves Risa for a long time.

Glad that Felony is living up to your ecpectations. :thumbs-up: Mrs. Doom and I both drive Subaru's and really like them. Of course her's is nicer than mine. 🤣

The felony sure has been living up to my expectations in fact it's exceeded them compared to my old XO-1. It's nice to know of more folks who drive Subaru's my family's had several my dad's first car was a 1981 GL Hatchback, My mom's 1998 Legacy Outback, My 2000 Outback and finally my Dad's current daily driver a 2018 Forester. From the Early\mid 1990's to now we've had 4 Subaru's so far. I need to see if i can dig up pics of all of them and show them off.
