Black and red body looking good with those wheels! Nice!👍🏻
I originally bought those wheels, tires and body for a different truck i was trying to replicate the look an older Platinum with but it fits the truck and i'm too cheap to buy a new body and tires right now got too many other projects LOL. i just got the truck back up and running with my last remaining new Spektrum receiver and parts from my old Hoss.

Awesome build man.
Thanks for the feedback just what i needed to calm down into the night. Glad you like my build.

I agree! Even more impressed that its a budget build!

I guess you can call this truck one although it's built using parts i already had from previous truck i had in the past that i've now sold the remains of. I initially wanted to get my truck as an RTR but i was a little low on money but had enough for the roller and the shocks i needed but had everything else.

Here's an update for my Slash 4x4 Ultimate build, I got to run her today with my new radio the DX6C from Spektrum and she was great but near the end she was starting to overheat.

Here's some pics, some of which i included in this months edit of this showcase.

Still mostly the same but put back the Hobbywing system that she used to have which is a Max 10 SCT 120A\3660SL 3,200KV combo. Someday i do plan to swap it out for a new Castle Cobra 10\1412 3,200kv combo since the hobbywing combo is now almost 4 years old. She'll also get a new 5 channel Spektrum receiver instead the 3 channel she currently has.

I like the ramp too!
Sticking with 3200kv? I'm curious to hear what you think of 1 vs the other system.
Actually i chose to take out the Castle system i had in it to put back into my Hoss so both of them would be able to run because i had once considered selling the Hoss. But seeing as others on the forum like my Hoss i might keep it with the system it has and just get the Slash it's own new combo.

It would be nice to find a dedicated set up for each of your rides so they all perform at peak!
A new syatem will help you dial it in and make it FAST!!!

The item CJ's Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate has been updated:

Update 3\13\2025, Updated specs and included top speed i've reached so far with this truck.
Can you adjust gearing or esc settings for more speed? That truck should go pretty good with that combo. 🤷‍♀️ How fast do you want it to go?
Looks great! 😎

I originally had it on a 17 tooth pinion but it started to overheat so i geared it down. And it's more of a basher truck then a speedrun build. I'm perfectly happy with 45mph on it.
