I pay less for Turnigy packs and have yet to have a problem with any of them. I run 3s 5000's and 2's 5000's in both my slashs as well as a 1/8th buggy I had. Never any problems. hobbycity is a great place to buy too imo.

Those would be great for the budget. Seen a Turnigy charger for $35 and the power supply for $15. $ 100 bucks to get into lipo is very appealing. They would be for a brushed E maxx, with a hobbywing 80 amp esc and motor in the future.

I use all Zippy LIPO packs at the moment. 2, 3, and 4 cell. All run GREAT! Some have a year on them...no puffing or issues at all. I'm about to order some new 3s packs this week too.
