Yeap that's our colors exactly, I'll have some decals for you real soon. I'm having some windshield banners made for my rig, they're sweet. If you want, since you're one of my close friends, I could let you have a few of my windshield banners. Would you be interested in that?

That's actually bigger than most of the crawler bodies that I run, I chose it to have a bigger canvas for the paint scheme. When Joe received my 72 Chevy crawler body, he didn't want to paint it because he said it should be on a 1/18 rig lol.

Actually it would probably have fit a 1:24 scale size rc better. That thing was tiny.

Those tiny bodies are a pain in the butt to paint, especially with my big ol mits, lol.

lol. I didn't know you were packing some bear paws.

You know what they say about guys with big hands though

They were big gloves :hehe:

Ha, I didn't realize buy you guys have identical dimensions. Chip has short hair though, lucky for him. If it was long, that's just one more thing I could give him hell for.

So Joe, did you at some point in the 80s wear tight pants and play a triangle shaped guitar? That would be cool as hell if you were from one of the original hair bands.

Damn skippy, tight torn up jeans, metal studded bracelets and belts, animal print bandanas, a different pair of boots for every day of the week and then some, the whole rock and roll enchilada, lol. I had a black Gibson V2 special edition Flying V guitar, also with a snake skin strap, a Kramer Voyager in slut red with a metal studded strap, a Gibson SG, a Sunburst Fender Strat I snagged at a pawn shop for $75, plus a few other cheap guitars. A couple of Peavy Duece tube amps, and all the Boss effects pedals a hairhead could want, with the Boss metal pedal getting the most use, yeah, mad distortion baby. But unfortunately I never made it to the big times, lol

But Rolex is right, the only hairband I have now keeps the locks in a pony tail. :D

It's painted from the inside.

That is absolutely hillarious. Thanks for a good laugh as I start my day!

I ran that one in the arklamiss comp back in june. It was tiny. I liked it though. Got lots of looks.

Everyone there was wanting to know who painted it, and I was shocked because Joe hated the colors so much I figured everyone else would too.

You talking about that teeny tiny little body I painted for ya with the green orange and black tribal? I actually hated the colors till I finished it and saw them on the lid, then I kinda liked it. So you still using that lid?

Of course I'm still using it :) It's my favorite lid that I have because it was designed so well that it required absolultey no cutting of the body and doesn't have any problems with clearance issues. I'm actually going to be using the same truck body, but in 1/10 scale, to build a tuber with :)

I have a fullsize 68 Chevy show truck that I restored from the frame up, but it's more of a street rod. So I'm wanting to do a very similar build, only 4WD, and 1/10 scale with a tube chassis.

I'm thinking so as well, my 1:1 was a frame off restoration. So the frame, inner fenders, and firewall are painted PPG Bright Platinum basecoat/clearcoat. The suspension, and rear end are painted a high gloss black, and the truck body is Viper Red, and it's soon to have a white interior with white carpet in the bed.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I might do a traditional chassis for the classic chevy, so that it would match my fullsize, and build the tuber for a new model pickup or truggy. For the classic, I think it would be a nice candidate for an interior as well. I wish I could find a hardbody though in a 68 Chevy fleetside. The grill and frontend are different on the 68 and 72, and the 68 looks WAY better IMO. The 68 frontend could be easily made out of styrene.

That reminds me. Where is a good place to order styrene material from, in different sizes and shapes?
