Just a plug for the VRCNT racing really. I would like some of you to get in and challenge me for the Rookie of the Year though! It doesn't cost to enter and if you shop around the software and adapter isn't expensive either. I picked mine up for under $40 total with a radio and rec.

Come on guys, BRING IT!

damn, i really need to look more into this cuz $40 total is cheap!

C'mon fellas! Randy needs some competition!

Besides, ya'll aren't gonna just let us run away with all the $$ and prizes are ya?

Randy, where did you get everything for under $4o? I would be down for it if I could get a good deal like that.

Your favorite place Joe, EVILbay :D

The software was new for $19.98 shipped and the usb adapter used with Traxxas radio was $20 shipped. I got lucky there, new for the adapter is around $30.

Here's the software VRC

That would be great Joe. I thought you had PC compatibility issues though?

Yeah, I did, but last year I bought a new pc with a 22 inch lcd high def flat screen :D So if I could find a deal like Randy, I would give it a try. I wish I could know for sure if it would work on the new pc though.

Wow! $14.99 Joe!... and to think I spent nearly $150 on my stuff a few years ago. Sheesh..

Holy crap, that is cheap! That's not a bootlegged copy is it? I don't want any bootleg stuff.

I just followed the link that Randy gave. Buy-it-now for $14.99 (NIB) + $4.99 shipping. Then just add on an adapter so you can use your own Tx. That's crazy cheap compared to what it used to go for. Get it on it brother! Let's go racin'!

The same guy has the USB adapter as well... $27.99 + shipping

It's not bootlegged, They're just trying to clear them out before the new release comes out I think.

As for working on your computer, the specs don't call for anything extra-ordinary.
Minimum 1ghz proc. with 128mb ram, graphics card with hardware texture and lighting support, usb port and internet connection.

The only issue I had was video. My built in graphics chip didn't have the hardware teture and lighting support. My motherboard is a few years old, that is really fairly standard now. I got my new card for 29.99, free shipping and $5 mail-in rebate. It was plug and play.

My computer is like 4 years old and it works ok. I do have to turn down some of the advanced details but the important stuff is on and it rarely ever gives me issues.

so is it all onroad?

so is it all onroad?

Yes, as of right now VRC is only on-road. Off-road has been in the works for quite some time. Unfortunately, VRC has been absolutely HORRIBLE about releasing things when they say they will. When VRC does include off-road racing I'm completely confident that all of our members will upgrade and at that point VRCNT will become a mixed discipline series.

I tried playing the demo but my graphics card sucks. I tried using something that emulates pixel shader and it worked, but looks really bad. I'll upgrade before I buy VRC. I'll keep a look out on a used adapter too.
