Man this 1100kv motor is huge. And it weighs a tons for a RC motor.. hahahaha Can't wait to install it into the Kra. But some upgrades need to happen first 😉🤔😁👍👍 the esc is beautiful piece of equipment for sure. The motor is bigger then a Tamiya paint can taller and wider my God POWER!!!

Gonna be a sweet ride bro. I agree, the 1100s are giant.

Rite I'm shocked how big and heavy it is
Going to order another set up for the X as well

Have you figured out gearing yet? I put the same combo on an Exb Outkast and I can promise you won't be disappointed.

On factory tires the 39/39 mod1 works pretty well with top speeds around 60mph but the tires didn't last long. Blew up both fronts after 3 or 4 runs. Seems the center diff needs some .... Adjustment.

I put on some duratrax sixpacks and while it still has plenty of power, the esc goes into some sort of overload on high traction surfaces if you try to launch hard from a dead stop. Probably going to have to drop pinion size a bit.

I assume the kraton and outcast have similar drivetrain ratio's? I'm curious to see what other gear combos work well with heavier than factory tires.

Congrats on the sick power system. Look forward to hearing your opinions and input.

Haven't looked into gearing yet. But the castle systems are ridiculous. Have the mamba X in my Emaxx build. And it's flawless running 21/54 on a Erevo 2.0 trans..

I got the duratrax belted six packs for the X. And I love them. Will be getting a set for the Kra8..

Are you useing the spectrum esc?? The castle XLX2 is way stronger /better then the spectrum esc's.. shouldn't have any problems with it.. ordering another xlx2 esc for my X. And the 1100kv motor for the X in the coming weeks. For now will just use the 1250kv stock motor. It's the VXL8s witchbisnthe problem. In the X not the motor

I'm running the same combo you pictured. The Xlx2 and 1100kv can. The 39/39 was great until I put the belted sixpacks on. Too much weight for the gears. I'd like to try a 37t pinion but I can't find one.
In my Xmaxx I'm running the Max6 and 1100kv and while it's pretty stout, after using the Xlx2 combo in the outcast, I'll likely get the same for the X.

Yeah man castle is where it's at for sure. The HW max line has been cutting out on people. Not sure if you've experienced that yet. Just a heads up. During their runs also... could be a very bad situation if cuts out at wrong time
Thanks for the heads up on the gearing appreciate it. Will look for the pinon today. Would like to get her out next weekend. It's raining here on the jersey shore today so no go
Printing out a blue bumper spring now for the kra8 haha

So far the max6 has been flawless. Ran it for months paired to the factory Traxxas motor and it worked great. I just recently switched to the HW 1100kv. So far so good but I don't have much time on it yet.

Hey so did you witch up to 1.5 mod gears. Or were you able to find a mod 1 8mm D pinon??

Still running mod 1. pinions are seemingly hard to find though. Running 30/50 right now. I'd like to try the mod 1.5 but I'd also like to keep the crush drive and I'm having a hard time finding a mod 1.5 compatable spur.
