About 5 o' clock this evening i was on the way home from my girlfriends. We got about a mile from her house. Completly stoped at a red light and all of a suddon BAM! Got rear ended. Her car then hit the car in front of us. The car that rear ended us was going about 30 and no attempted to break. It was then found out that the plats on her car where registered to a truck and she was drunk. After alot of paperwork I was told that I have to goto the hosipital sence I am a minor I had no choice. I was strapped into gurnie with a neck brace on and stapped down. The exrays went pretty fast and they said it was nothing serious just keep ice on it and take motrin.

The car is suspected to be totaled because when it hit the SUV in front of us just smushed it. All in all we are safe the women who his us is now in jail.

nice ending all good.
P:s hope u dont feel it 2morrow

Glad to hear your OK. I was in a fender bender about a month ago. I had to panic stop to miss a deer and the guy behind me didn't leave enough room to stop safely. For as hard as the hit was there was no damage to either car. I felt fine after leaving but the next day I was soooooo sore. As you mentioned some ice and some minor pain meds will be your best friend for a day or two.

ehh i hope it wasn't a new car. get well soon theres a bunch of bung-holes in this world that dont think. just happens that you were in the wrong place the wrong time.

Damn man, what a trip! Glad to hear you are ok. Be careful, pain from accidents like that can come a month or even months after it happens.

Glad to hear yer ok dude. Glad tohear that chick is in jail too. but yeah, yet probably gonna feel like crap tomorrow, at least that's what I've heard. I remember when I rear ended somebody (same situation you described cept I wasn't drunk), everybody was fine at the time then I found out from my insurance company that one of the girls went to the doctor for some minor soreness, which he said was very common. But I hope it's not too bad for ya. let us know. later.

Glad to hear your OK. I've been rear ended like that twice. Once no problems, and once just had to take some pain killers, and anti inflamitory pills for a couple of days. Good luck, and in the pills effect you like they do me, stay home.

Thanks everyone. I stayed home from school today. Heck it was the day before vacation anyway. My neck and my back are pretty soar. My girlfrind was driving a 2001 sable.

It may take days or weeks even months to find if you have any real damage to your body. You may feel fine in a few days but later you may find yourself with reacquiring headaches, back or neck pains. Write down and keep a log of every pain that you get. It seems kind of anal but you never know. If there is un-seen damage and you don't keep a log they will just blow you off. They will try as hard as possible to get you to sign a release form ASAP. The insurance companies know that most damage isn't noticed until well after an accident. Its their job to pay out as little as possible. Yes, that is their true job, not helping you but helping their bottom line.
DON'T SIGN ANY RELEASE FORMS FOR AT LEAST 1-2 YEARS.

Insurance is such a racket LMAO! Are you ever gonna give us a shot @ yours Ed? LOL.

Sure, we would actually be able to lube it up in the time of you being screwed. Our motto is "We promise it won't hurt as much as the next guy". But seriously I know we could save you money and give you better coverage. And in the time something actually happes god forbid we can actually help you. I could really care either way about the money as it doesn't effect me one way or the other, but I know it would help you and Viv. I meant the above post as a joke that Insurance was a racket and Ed and a few others know I am an I.T. Manager for a multi million dollar Insurance Brokerage firm so I was kinda making fun of my own industry.

Don't you love the way we crap all over Mayhems thread.
The poor guy just got the snot beaten out of him and now we are craping on him like a flock of seagulls.

Mayhem,
Ever feel like no one loves ya?
Hope everything will be OK.

Alcohol-related accidents account for 40% of all highway deaths. That's close to half, and it doesn't include not-fatal accidents like yours. I for one think the law should be WAY less lenient for drunken drivers. Hope all works out well for you, and glad you're ok (at this point. :D )

glad your alright man... damn idiotic drivers like that are what hurt innocent people like yourself. get well soon.

I'll pass. I've seen first hand damage of what a deer can do to a car. I know of 3 people who hit one last year and each time the deer totaled the car.
