hey guys i just sold all my paintball stuff becuase my local field just closed, so anyway, i need help on which truck to buy with the money that i have. i have narrowed it down to 2 trucks...

traxxas revo w/ traxxas .21 conversion kit, and a wasp .26 motor. I'm not even gonna deal with the 2.5 motor, it is a pain in the ass.

or...

savage SS 4.6.

i dont want an lst becuase i hear they are a little on the fragile side and parts are expensive, i dont want an MGT becuase my lhs doesn't support associated parts, i dont want a mammoth becuase i hear the shock towers are weak and there have been troubles with the 2 speed not shifting, and i dont want a t-maxx becuase they are fragile.

Racing or bashing? Racing=Revo Bashing=Revo, but that's my opinion since I smoked a Savage 1 on 1 on the track. Sorry, biased opinion but thought I would throw that out there.

racing-revo, bashing-savage. I'm sure most of the members here will agree with me. the revo just handles great, no question about it. though the savage can take the most punishment I've ever seen dished out to a MT and ride a wheelie away from it.

decide what you will use the truck for, that will greatly affect your decision.

Bashing is ALL savage.. can't find a tougher more all around truck.. can't go wrong..

Are savages slow compared to other trucks? I mean I know their tough.

no my brother has a savage .25 and i was surprised how fast it went. that thing really gets up and goes. my brother got the savage because he just bashes and jumps it around the yard. but it is very fast and pulls wheelies on command when tuned right.

i think I'm gonna go with the revo becuase i really want to get into racing trucks, and i dont think the savage will cut it for racing from what i've seen and heard. thanks for the help guys.

The Revo is pretty close to a savage in durability and surpasses the savage at the race track, so you can't go wrong with the Revo, imo...

the savage can smoke a 2.5 Tmaxx, and the parts on tmaxx like to break and are hard to kept tuned (My experiances) I havnt got to bash with a Revo but I've heard good things. There more for Racing though by the sounds of it. Depends on what ya want to do. Want to bash, Savage is the only way to go. Want to race, Get the Revo.. Savage has proved it self over and over and over to be the best basher, so...

If you plan on racing Id say Revo, plan on ripping around and bashing Id say savage.. To me a Revo is a 4wd Stadium truck.. I dunno, I just got my savage 25 and I wouldnt trade it for a revo any day

I have mixed thoughts.............I own a Savage 25 and my buddy owns a Revo. The Revo flat out smokes the Savage on speed and racing. I do agree the Revo in my opinion does not look no where near as good as a Savage it kind of looks like a stadium truck. I think with the Revo you get another set of arms that will bring the truck up so it looks more like a truck. As far as bashing goes as much as I hate to say it my Savage looks cool but that is about it, not very tough. Everything on this truck has broke at least once and my buddys Revo is run the same way and his contiues to run day after day. If it were me I would buy a Revo. Good Luck.

Well I had a savage for a year, and broke one up right and one suspension arm and thats it. By far the most durable truck I've ever seen.

I still say Revo for racing, savage for bashing.

you could get a savage ss4.6 (i think is best) set it up for racing and than if you want to go bashing your have a durable truck for that.

I own both the savage and revo and bash both. They are both equal in durability with the revo being the quicker of the 2 of course. No problems with the 2.5R that is in the revo. There is no comparison to the original 2.5. You will be happy with either purchase.

with all the nice trucks out there i guess u just base it on which appeals u most ..
my picks are
savage
mgt
revo
lst

only bad thing with mammoth is parts no hs carries xtm/global hobby products..ur gonna need to order online everytime
