So I bought this thing on fb for pretty cheap. Lots more is wrong than I thought, and I’m relatively new with the whole rc deal. I know there is supposed to be two servos mounted upside down with special horns that connect with tie rods to the steering, but I’ve been looking everywhere for them and can’t find anything. Also, my receiver is 3 channel, so should I put both servos together with a Y connector? Please check out the pictures and tell me if you see anything else that might need attention. Thanks!

3 channel means up to 3 channels👍🏻
You use channel 1 for steering servo,
You use channel 2 for throttle/brake servo.
CHannel 3 remains empty

I use These cheap Chinesium servos. They come each with a set of servo horns. Use for example These or linkage connectors to connect your linkages🙂

Yes, use a Y splitter since you only have 3CH to work with. (@fstnd CH3 is for the reverse servo, just FYI)

I've provided a pic of what it should look like when it's put together, and I took a screenshot of the exploded parts view from the User Manual. That should give you what you need to put it back together, but good luck finding these parts. My advice, if you want to keep it, is to buy a used, but complete, Losi LST2 off of eBay and use the Aftershock for spare parts. The LST2 and the Aftershock are the same truck, but the LST2 was the flagship model and had some upgraded parts on it stock.

Yeah I see but it needs to use 2 servos, as well as it needs some special linkage for the steering, unless there is an alternative that also works the mechanism the same

Okay that’s great thank you

And I’m just wondering, because I don’t want to buy a whole new car for this one part, can I use the regular horns from this servo and put the ball arms directly on them?

Just make sure you set your end points on your radio
