6-22-05pics.gif

can i use it in the place of my alkaline battery pack in my nitro?? i didnt no, just wondering.
both the battery pack and the alkalines put out 6.0v.

Why not just spend 25$ and buy one ment for the application?

To answer your question no. You would have to cut off the leads from your AA holder and solder them onto your tyco battery. Then figuer out how to charge it, I think it slides into a charger, so with leads solder on you could slide it in, thus making you unable to charge it, thus making the pack and AA holder useless.

i thought of that, but:i took a another dead pack and soldered the ends to it, as close as i could, and it still fit right in the charger port.

Then it should work. A little heay trhough. Just get a 1400 rx pack from tower and be happy.

If you can get it mounted...go for it. But you might be better off getting a NiMh 1100 or 1200 mah pack. I'm sure they weigh less than that Tyco pack does, and extra weight means lower power to weight ratio.

[smacks forehead; shakes head slowly] WTF were You thinkin junior?
I hope you are doing these things as a way to learn more about RC and not asking these questions trying to annoy someone.....lol....you should be able to use it.......are you using this on the Kyosho antique? then I could see trying this....if it's for another car you're driving hard I wouldn't recommend it simply for the fact of mounting it somewhere...it doesn't look like an easy shape to fit into my buggy anyway

I agree with plaidfish, although mounting it might be a problem on some nitros it is usable provided that you can solder the wires to the terminals without damaging the battery.

mounting: double stick tape, and innovative placement.

one good thing about that battery though is that it would probably take a really long time to run out.

well i my flash went out on my digital camera, thats why its dark! yes i am TRYING it on that kyosho. I like trying new things all of the time. I like experimenting with stuff. I no most of you think its pretty stupid, but I'm just tryen stuff out. hey, one day i might find somethin that will work!

If that's case I don't think it's stupid.....trying to make junkers and older stuff work is the best way to learn....good luck w/ it and post pics or vid when it's up and running.....

i ordered an old engine off of ebay thats a .15 and has a tuned pipe. its old, and needs some restoring, but for 8 bucks its worth it! it needs a head and a starter and i think a header, but i can fix it. it will replace the not-so-good stock .12 on it.
