Well i finally found a house i like, that i can afford. It has almost everything i wanted and a little more!

3 bed room, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage, 1989 square foot 2 storie house. It feels bigger on the inside and whoever built it did a mighty fine job of space management. Its on a cul de sac and 2.2 miles from work!

has a formal dining, breakfast, and game room (loft), and wet bar, wood deck out back, and hot tub. (pool table and frig stays as well). the only thing i dont like is the small lot (6000 square foot) but that just means less mowing for me!

so far we have the contract signed and are in the option period. we had the house inspected and it came back pretty good. there were a few items that need attention but nothing serious, or a deal breaker.

i plan on using the breakfast as a office/workout room (kitchen has a bar), and removing the grey wood in the deck and replacing with flagstone (has a concrete slab under it)

i can't wait to get moved!! right now its me, my gf, and 2 kids in a 2br apartment with under 1000 square feet! we close on the 10th!

here are the pics i have. the house is still occupied so i have to use the ones on the site.

That's a nice looking house and it sounds like it has all the room you guys need, especially after being cramped in the apartment. Hope everything goes well and you're moved in by the middle of July......CONGRATS!!!

Congrats, i considered buying one about 6 months ago, but a free 2br 2bth apartment all to myself is too hard to give up.

Very nice Beason.

Congrats!

Wow, I'll take it. You can start looking elsewhere.
That's really great. Major congrats man. Do you get to keep the pool table?

yep! he is leaving the pool table, frig, and hot tub!

the seller is being a peepee and not wanting to fix the stuff i asked for after the inspection.. oh well, i can't change his mind..

ha! thats about all i get, the game room, garage, and outside.. gf has designated the rest "hers".. oh well. she got good taste.

plus i got a 2 page list of "honey dues" from the inspection guy.. anyone wanna help a fellow rc'er out? :)

dude thats great!! congrats on finding a house that you like.
have you tried asking for closing credits on the repairs he wont do? we did that on the place we just bought. the seller was being a total DH, but we asked for credits instead and she said okay.

he agreed to supply the ground fault sockets, and give us 500$ more in closing cost. but just the things we asked for will probably be over $500.

Nice lookin bro! Whenever the wife and I upgrade I'm definitly getting a pool table somewhere. I hope everything works out for ya

I can't see the pics, but sounds like a great place.

Congrats.

I couldn't see the pics either Digger, but they're up now. I'm guessing he was using photobucket. They had a lot of problems yesterday with the site, and today the pics are showing up fine for me.

Beason, the house looks great, sorry I didn't comment sooner but the pics weren't showing up. You know a 2 car garage will house a lot of RC's. Are you going to be able to use one of the bedrooms as a hobby room, or the game room or something? I tell you, my hobby room that I set up has made the hobby 5 times more enjoyable, now that I have a place to keep my stuff organized and work on several projects at once. I simply put three large desks that I use like workbenches, along with a roll around tool box and shelves against the 4th wall, and it's worked out great. The desks make great workbenches, and the drawlers offer even more storage space and organization. Also, metal desks can be picked up anywhere for cheap. I got some used ones from work. The new ones are flimsy, but these old ones are really stout and hold up well to a beating and a lot of stuff sitting on them.

Congrats!! I feel your joy/pain. Our house was completed this month and we close on the 25th. crazy crazy time man.

nope the rooms are spoken for, the GF has 2 kids...

the garage is only a 2 car but is pretty deep so i should be able to fit a nice big work table across the front of it and some shelves in the wall. it wont be air conditioned, but better then nothing.

i had a work area setup at my old house, and loved it. now i have a folding table in my closet and the rigs hanging from the clothes bar (walk in closet, other side has my clothes on it.)

I can see the pics now. Looks great. Gonna be a hell of a change from that apartment.
Yard looks nice. Maybe not enough room to run nitros, but it looks private with the fence. Hell of a place for a cookout too.
I'll bring the beer. :)

Congrats again.

Ok the newbie is going to ask the 'dumbass' question, what is a 'pig park'? I saw you referred to an airplane being flown there, so is that the name for plane/copter parks?
