hey guys

My wife is setting up a small home business that will require a decent amount of small package and letter shipping.

can anyone share a few tips to help get us started?

is USPS better? or fedex/UPS? i'm looking for ease of printing postage on a normal printer as well as weighing objects to get accurate rates.

thanks
Gabe

USPS is way better. It is cheaper too and faster than either fed ex or ups ground. Depending on what she's shipping, priority flat rate packages is the way to go. Small flat rate box's are always $5 any where shipped up to 70 lbs. in the US. priority.
Printing on a normal printer is all you need. It is extremely straight forward. If she will be doing it after receiving Paypal payments, then she can ship that way, she can also create a shipping label through paypal without receiving payment.
If lower cost shipping is wanted, then first class in padded envolopes is the way to go....depending on what it is your shipping though.

sweet thanks!
is business shipping cheaper than non-business? an example is how do the retailers ship out stuff for 3.99 or less....

I'm not real sure on that one.
