If you look at the manual for the Tamiya TT-02 '99 Subaru WRC car, it has a caution warning for an MSC (mechanical speed controller), which I thought was odd. Does anyone even make them anymore? It actually says not to drive at continuous slow speed, or you will damage the MSC. The other thing I found odd was the supplied pinions versus the instructions. It says to use a supplied 22T or 23T pinion, but, mine only came with a 17T and a 19T, and, one of the supplements to the instructions says to only use a 19T with the supplied motor, but, everywhere else in the instructions says 22T, so, my first thought was, how long ago was that manual written, and, was the proofreader drunk or absent that day. I also learned, pay close attention to what you are doing, or the car will sit crooked when it's done. I put the left rear and right front hubs on upside down, so that if both rear wheels were on the ground, the right front was off the ground, and, if both front wheels were on the ground the left rear wasn't. Worst part, I didn't realize it until the first test drive, which was interesting.
