Welcome to the forum.

Just hang in there. We have a few electric wizards who will be able to advise you. Motor, ESC, battery, gear ratios, etc. You'll get the info you need.

Read through my build thread, there is lots of good info there.

www.rc-monster.com carries the motor adapter and battery trays needed to convert to brushless.

In addition to the motor plate and batt trays, you'll need at least a 4-5S lipo pack (and charger if you don't have one already), a motor in the 2000-2700 KV range, an ESC that can handle at least 150 AMPS peak 100 AMPS continuous, mod1 pinons (13T, 14T, 15T), and a UBEC. You'll also want to check with Mike over at RCM to see if he has a plastic spur to replace the stock steel one on your Storm.

Most importantly, decide on a budget. There are many 1/8 scale brushless packages out there. You can piece it out and get the best or go with a plug and play package from Castle, Losi, Novak etc.

Also, do some searching on the forum with regards to brushless motors and how they work. There is a ton of info on this site.

Once you get a good idea of what you want in terms of speed and budget, let us know and we can recommend a good package for you.
