I am fairly new to the electric stuff too. Well, that is what I started with back in the 80's with a AE gold tub but this brushless stuff is a whole new ball game for sure. I know dimension engineering and Castle Creations both make a good BEC.

Excellent info, frick. The lighting controller will definitely go in the big Humm Vee.
