how do you think it will run on a evader?

charger suposedly has a built in balancer, so i suppose i don't need a external balancer.

That motor will run hot on 3S. Keep your runs short in duration and monitor your motor temps. Keep the motor in the 140 degree F range or less for longevity.

any way to cool the motor?

hope it works out for u look like a cheap knock off combo

same setup in the savage, accept the savage is 2200kv i think

according to a video i watched on here a few days ago, its the same setup in the e revo as well, but again, believe it's 2200kv and just has a diffrent name on it.

integy sells a heatsink/fan kit that cools the motor.. I dont know if all ESC's have the little fan plug like my VXL does but if it doesn't I'm sure someone could figure out how to wire it in

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNDP1&P=ML

and it's a whole woping 15 bucks

i dunno if u can wire it into any esc i'm sure you can't put 11.1 volts to that fan, anyone else know if it's possible and how?

i just realised system was made for 2s not 3s, now i gotta send those batterys back when they arrive if i can't cancel order :(

COMMENTS: When fitted with the Flux Warp 5700 motor or other motors with 5700Kv
of power, you can use up to 7 normal NiMH cells or a 2S LiPo battery.
When fitted with a motor with 4600Kv of power, you can use up to
12 NiMH cells or a 3S LiPo battery

should i return the motor/esc combo and get a 4600 or should i return the lipo's and get a 2s?

yes, but thankfully i read this, i dunno if the batterys have been mailed yet, the motor/esc will arive in lhs tomorrow

they don't have the 2200kv motor available yet by itself but those are my 2 options, 2200kv or 5700kv

I just bought the 2s version of those batteries on the bay as well. Hoping they work out cause they are really cheap

i suppose i could buy the castle link adapter, and program my esc to only put 7.4 volts, or a little more to the motor, also buy the fan and maybe a little more, but i'll have to monitor temps...
also, anyone in here know if the castle creations castle link will work with the hpi esc?

i dont know about the hpi suff but its a cc esc with hpi stickers

i know i quoted myself, i think i got that off hpi's website yesterday, then i read this today
http://www.hpieurope.com/piw.php?lang=en&partNo=100419
The Warp 5700 features:
1. Powerful, high-speed brushless motor
2. Excellent pairing of huge power and extraordinary efficiency
3. Same size as standard 540-size motor
4. Sleek black-anodized aluminium casing
5. Zero maintenance design
6. External solder tabs for easy wire replacement
7. Oversized precision ball bearings for long life
8. High Torque/ High Temperature Neodymium rotor
9. Slotless stator design delivers smooth, linear torque
10. Easy 4-point mounting for convenient installation
11. Longer run times than a comparable brushed motor
12. Easily rebuildable with bearings and rotor being user-replaceable
13. Compatible with any sensorless ESC

*If using an 8-cell NiMH or 3S LiPo battery pack with the Warp 5700, you will need to use a suitably powerful brushless speedo. Please check the spec of the speedo you plan to use. The Motiv can handle 3S LiPo power with a 4600Kv motor, but not 3S power with a 5700Kv motor.

i read this today, it says it can use 3s, i'm stumped...

i called hpi on the phone yesterday he said you can't use 3s at least if i did it wouldn't be warrantied

omfg on a regular 7.2 1200mah ni mh battery this thing halls ass. holy poop....

i don't have a video camera
let me see what i can do
