break in for crankcase

I broke the motor mount on my crankcase. I ordered a new one and was planning on putting the old parts in there. Do I need to break the motor in again?

As long as the piston and sleeve are the same you will not need to break in again. But very sure to flush out the case to make sure there is no crud in there. Seal backplate and carb when they are re-installed. Let sit overnight to dry then have fun. Keep in mind you will have to re-tune a little bit, that is normal.

What do I use to seal it with? New to nitro r/c got this one ran it about 5 mins didn't have all the bolts in the motor just two on one side broke part that side off. When I took it apart I didn't really see any gaskets or where anything was put on. It has a few orings and one gasket for cooling head. What is best to put on the bolts when putting them back in?

Use a good quality RTV silicon that is both high temp and sensor safe that you can get at any good auto parts store.

Look for "lucky seven engine sealant". It's better than rtv and doesn't make a mess.

I can't seem to find much on it. If anyone has a link I'd appreciate it. Will the piston only go back in one way? Or which side does the oiler go on?

Could I use alcohol as a cleaner?

The piston should be notched for clearance of the counter-balance on the crank.

Denatured alcohol is a good cleaner.

Yeah I had the piston in the wrong way. Had no compression. When I start it the wheels turn...what adjustments can be done to that?

Possibly a clutch spring and/or idle/lsn tuning.
