Hi,
just got my 4.6 working etc and done break in
but the brakes dont work at all
i tried turning the little thing near the receiver box, at the very end but i can't turn it.

?

The first few times you adjust the brakes on your Savage it will be pretty hard to turn. But that is normally the problem unless you maybe have the servo arm stabbed on incorrectly. Make sure that it is at a 90 from the radio box with the radio and receiver on. That will rule that out. How far down the rod is the brake linkage threaded? I don't have a stock linkage so it would be hard to tell you what mine is set at. Another thing is the little piston that comes out of the gearbox that contacts the brake calipers could have been left out (Did that once). You should be able to see it if you have the truck up side down and actuate the linkage by hand. The plastic adjuster knob you should be able to turn it by hand to tighten it up......if not pliers will do the trick.....let us know what you find.

I had the same problem with mine. By the time the brakes were starting to work, the knob was turned almost all the way in. I ditched the spring on my Tmaxx, and I did the same on the Savvy. Cut the fuel line longer than the spring, so you have a little extra 'squish' to work with. Once you have them adjusted, they'll work great.

yeh i turned the nozzle at the end about 10 times, brakes work better but not good enough, might turn it more

also when i go at full speed, there is a lot of exhaust coming out and it takes a while to accelerate
i have adjusted the master and low needles a bit aswell, and i dont think its going at its full speed. but maybe its just me

is there anything to be done to make acceleration faster?

the steering really sucks as well. It always flips over...
Is there any way to fix it besides getting a better servo.

There is the steering upgrade on the servo saver(instead of plastic bushing, put some bearings) https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/23/savage-mp-servo-saver-mod/
But a better servo help alot!!! Keep us informed.

There is this you could do too!! https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/100/savage-linkage-mod/

And for the smoke and bucking prob. The smoke is normal at full throttle and ur bucking, your high speed needle(HSN) maybe still too rich, lean it 1/8 of a turn at a time, but check your temp frequently to not have lean it too much.

correct me ANYBODY if I'm wrong...hehehe
