Bought Myself a Toaster

I didn't think I would ever do it....but the winter is tooooooo long not to race.

I purchased a boxfull of HPI Micro RS4's.

Little boogers are cool as hell.

I thought I had pretty nimble fingers...but working on these things make me feel like I have Fred Flintstone fingers.

Is the ball diff in the rear end worth the cash they want for it.....damn that one upgrade is about 45% of what the whole kits cost??

For racing indoors on carpet, ball diffs are the most popular since it can be dialed in to traction. From a racing point of view, yes it's worth it.

I took the little booger to the local carpet track (early during practice time) and damn it's a whole lot different from slinging a nitro around the dirt track. I kept having traction rolls...the carpet gurus asked me what kind of traction compound I was using...ignorant me had know idea what they were talking about...I was using a set of used foams that came with my package deal I based on how they felt, I think I picked up the stickines from the track...
.. plus my weak two sided tape failed and the servo came loose...none-the-less I had fun, learned a few things and the 45 minutes I was there was a great learing experience!!!!

Be careful T. I dumped over $700 into my micro rs4.
If you need the skinny on making it a full racer, look into the Ratzass or Motek chassis.
Ball diff will make a huge difference.

I got four of the things so that all da kids and I could go have some fun on practice nights....Not gonna get too competetive with them....Yeah Right!!
