i have a maxx and when i run it in snow, the snow gets in the cooling head around the glow plug and it starts boiling and smoking. what do you think i should do?

There really is not a lot you can do about what you describe. The snow is effectively melting to water and boiling due to the heat of the engine.

that's just the snow melting from the heat of the engine. lol even though it's not always a good idea to run it in inclimate weather. rain, snow and mud can get in the air filter and ruin your day

If it's hot enough to boil the water (snow) I'd richen it up a little.. It should evaporate a few drops of water in about 5 seconds.. If it sizzles drops of water, the motor is running too lean/hot..

You can't judge by what the snow is doing alone. If it's running good without flame-outs or blowing glow plugs, you're probably ok. A temp gun to check actual temps would be better ;)
