So she is my very first Hobby grade RC. I got her during the pandemic to cope with the crazy life that was happening around us all. Of course, she was a stock rtr new out of the box. I was 1 of the not so lucky...servo trashed 1st day. Followed by some advice that I shoulda passed on lol. And multiple newb mistakes. I finally am getting close to what I was hoping it would be.
So we'll start with whats on her now.

Proline badlands 2.8unbelted.
Hr pivot balls
Hr servo saver/aluminum arm
Granite front bumper
25kg amazon servo
Front shocks are rear stock
Rear are 115mm ZD Racing (Wanted the jacked up truck look)
3d printed roof skids/nose plate
4s roll bar
Custom decals
12mm hex (going to 17mm)
Typhon mega wing/mount
Hr motor mount (m2c hopefully soon)
Stock motor and wax (want to run 4s on low temp).

Will update as I upgrade. Getting a new slipper assembly from Jennys RC.com Friday. Then back up and running. 👍
Heres this

So update. Kinda forgot I got frustrated and didnt finish some rebuild. Thank goodness. HERES FIRST REASON WHY
DONT USE WHITE LITHIUM GREASE ON OUTER CASE OF DIFFS. Gunked up. Pastey as hell. I had read this too late a while back well now I have physical proof. That's after I wiped it off some. wasn't thinking about posting at first

@Steve38 You could have used toothpaste with the same results, but it would have been minty fresh and gunky! ;)
Man and I almost went with it but figured the peroxide wouldnt be good for the gears 😆
Its honestly what it felt like
I can not for the life of me get this rear diff (new or old diff) to not feel really catchy. Loosened the yoke screws to point of case has noticeable space. Only thing I can't change is the input gear. Excuse my lack of terminology....the big diff gear feels like its hitting the yoke. No matter how tight or loose and I switchex the shim to non gear side of the diff if that makes sense.

Someone wanna make a interactive text book for me. Smh. Or move closer? I'm a def hands on but damn if I dont know whats ok and whats not. I get very 😞. Anyway thanks a mill

So a little update. The rear diff atill kicking my a$$. A nice guy on the Arrma Forum sending me an extra rear yoke to swap mine. Still locking down when put in chassis. Idk. But I did get the front of the truck put back together with Granite front bumper 6s ZD shocks. 105mm. Axial bushing. Gonna end up leaving rear shocks stock till I can get CVDs atleast. Too much rake on the driveshafts. And my 12mm hex. Only cause I didnt wanna run adapterz anymore. Seem to add lits if wheel wobble. I will end up at 17mm hex and hubs

Well guys and gals if ur out there. After much trouble and frustrastion and pissed offness I think Betty is ready to ride. Everything feels smooth. Went thru locktited new places and re did and cleaned old.

ZDs 110mm front shocks. Stock rear. New slipper assembly. New rear yoke provided by a really cool guy on Arrma Forum. Got some really rad decals I'm putting on tonight. Charge the battery tom and we will see what happens. New servo saver. New stock steering assembly. Really tightend it up more than I thought! They are built a tad different orig stock.
Also have to fix the paint on the wheels. 1 night got stoned and wanted to do something to it and half ass did 1 wheel. Then ADD kicked in and now its still the only. And I dont like it 😆

But here she is MY BLACK BETTY!!
