Hi. I was testing my car when the engine was off, by just free rolling it, and testing brakes. It sudenly stopped, and i tried pushing it, but it was jammed. I pushed it harder, and it clicked and free wheeled again, and every second it does that. It doesn't do it in the same place, so i am very confused.

I hope you guys can help. I think it may be to do with me testing my suspension just before that, by dropping my car a few inches from the air.

what kind of car is it?
Did you build it?
Is it new?
did you ever drive it before?

Check to see if you got a pebble stuck in the spur gear anywhere

Kyosho TR-15 Stadium Force.

Built all by yself, but shaft and gear was partly built. I have put it through 10tanks and broken it in?

I agree with RatzoRC, check to see if something is stuck in your spur gear. Keep it simple at first, check all the easy to see stuff first before you go tearing into diffs, etc. I would recommend putting it on a stand and spinning the wheels by hand. You can get a better view of things that way over rolling it on the ground.
Take things slow and be as specific as you can in future posts.

The wheels spin independently. I mean, if i spin a back wheel, the other will spin the opposite way, and the same with the front. Its if all 4 move and the shafts move,

Is the spur gear the metal gear. Also, wouldnt a small stone or somthing just fall out?

If its not that, what else could it be?

Te spur gear is the where the cluthbell(little gear that connects to the engine) goes onto. Some stones will get stuck in the teeth.

yeai had to take a screw driver to some rocks in my spur gear they were pretty hard to get out, the smaller gear smashes em in there pretty good :)

Ok. I have checked, and there is nothing in the gears. Whe I spin the wheels, they sometimes sin for a long time, and the spur gear does abut 1-2 roatations, and then it clicks and stops immediately. ALSO, it makes a sort of scraping noise when the wheels turn, and I m sure it is something to do with the shafts or something, but noth the gears.

I had the same problem. A knob on the very rear dogbone connectes with the pull start casing. You have to move the rear of the engine away from the dogbone as far as possible. But when I did this the gear mesh was too much. So I put 1mm shims between the frame and spur gear housing on the 2 screws closest to the cluch bell: that solved the mesh problem. See if that works.

i had the same problem with my Hpi Nmt and it started heppening when i changed my motor mounts to siode one since io stripped the origanial ones out and it was because it was cocked alittle so it would spin free then hit and stop and i could push hand and it would spin again..so check your mesh unless it is a fixed mount instead of adjustable like the nmt

I have fixed it guys. It was a simple problem. All I did, was unscrew the engine, put same paper inbetween the gears, and realigned them. That sorted the problemo.

Cheers all:spit:

Ahhhh, the old "improper gear mesh" problem. Glad you got it figured out. The paper technique is one of the best when it comes to aligning those gears. Well done !!
