Hi all,

I just got my 1/18 FMS Land Cruiser, I added some equipment to the roof rack, which looks great (I just need to paint those yellow handles).
One of the mods I'm itching to do, is add a bike rack and bicycle. I'm struggling to find a nice bicycle that has good detail and scales with the 1/18. Has anyone else gone down the rabbit hole of a mini bicycle?

I'm still searching bike racks too

Not a mountain bike. 🤣

Check your scales before buying. Ebay had a ton at one point. Mostly 1/10. I almost bought one but I'm driving a crawler. No need. 🤣

I was about to ask about 3d printers. I found a few styles. Thanks for reminding me I got a 3d pen somewhere. 🤣
I have always thought it would be cool to have a pen. This stuff looks fun.

1/18 scale was ok but the seat was too small. Tough to pedal. 😉
Well, you won't be sitting down much, since the pedaling will be very strenuous with that 1:1 gear ratio with the same size front and rear sprockets!

Those 3D pens are wicked cool! Definitely looks like a fun project. The bikes posted by @Xraycer and @WickedFog are about what I've been seeing too. I've been looking for more of a gravel or mountain bike rather than a BMX bike. I'm even looking at bicycle Christmas ornaments to get the right scale 😆.
I mostly see stuff scaled for 1/10 (which I could do with my Traxxas Blazer). I may ultimately have to go that route. I did find a 1/10 hitch mount bike rack on Etsy.

You could argue it would be easy with a truck body, I could just put a bike on the bed, but I like the SUV body's with the Blazer and Land Cruiser.

Maybe I'm dreaming up the near impossible trying to find something that work for 1/18 scale, but hey a gal can dream 😁

You're going to have to craft your own stuff, if you truly want 1/18 scale. Those tools on the truck are scaled for 1/10.

If you go pens, i cut regular filament into the pen size pieces which are pricey for a few. I've had no issues with it.
Should work. I've noticed the few items I got from that brand are on the smaller scale. Listed as 1/10 but more like 1/12 scale. I use that brand fog lights on my f450 too. Good products.

It actually looks too big in pics on aliexpress.

Yea, I agree. The tools are too big for the Land Cruiser. I'll end up using them on my Blazer instead and find something else for the Land Cruiser

Get you some styrene sheet and make your own bike mount. You'll need some plastic weld from plastruct, or pure acetone nail polish remover to glue it together. Styrene is real easy to work with. Cuts really easily, and glues together really good.
