I just thought this was a hot idea. My son has all these horse syringes in his tool box filled with stuff. I asked him what they were and he said there my "RC grease guns". I thought it was such a hot idea I did the same. They're Super Lube plastic safe grease (for seals), Philwood (bearings), and Red and Tacky (ring gears).

Started doing that earlier this year and love it. Alot easier to completely fill my 10.2 diffs.
 
Yes, they make shoving grease into bearings/places a bit easier.

Getting the "blue" grease from the tub into a syringe is a bit of a chore, but doable with a popsicle stick.
