I'm using a Spectrum DX3R with SR3100 receiver ,it has a ton of option plus the model match feature .

Well, Towerhobbies got me again, that and Bud light. I have a 3PM MX on the way, 169 shipped. It has the HRS mode so hopefully it will be more responsive and faster all around than my first gen. Spek 2.0. If nothing else it will look better. My Spek has seen better days although it still works perfect.

You can always pass your DX 2 along to a newbie as a good first radio. My first radio was a Spektrum DX 3.0 and I loved it. You also could hang on to it as a backup radio. Enjoy your new radio.

Very true, the Spektrum 2.0 is over 5 years old and ugly as sin. It's always been my backup and never let me down. With the economy lately I had to sell my 3.0 and the 2.0 became my only radio. I would love to sell the 2.0 to someone in need for cheap but I always believe in having a backup of everything for racing. It's only worth about 50 bucks, but it would be priceless to have handy if the Futaba lets me down on race day.

I have a spektrum 3.0. What do you drive that you notice slowness? Maybe I'm just a bit slow...

I didn't really notice an latency in my DX 3.0, either. The delay that is usually quoted is in the millisecond range and really shouldn't be noticeable to the naked eye.

I'm talking about racing....Drive someone else's rig with a lipo rx battery and a 3PK or DX3R with high end servos and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. The regular Spektrum feels like a snail in comparison. Lipo rx batterry pack and a regulator are next on my list.
My buddy's 3pk feels like it's reading your mind when you drive it. It's so fast it takes a while to get used too. I never realized the difference a Tx can make. The Lipo rx pack are another huge improvement just by itself. The servos pick up a lot of speed and torque vs using a 1600 mah Nimh pack.

I totally agree. Bashing has disappeared down here despite how much we enjoyed ourselves beating the MT's to death at a local sand pit.
My racing has always ended up with me finishing around 6th place since i stepped up to the truggy pro scene. A good radio system can shave a lot off my laptimes....In theory anyways
USPS shows the radio to show up on 9/02, I'll give it a full review this weekend.
