a little tip to anyone driving an Hpi Mt. I just bought some new plastic mesh wheel rems and i encountered a problem that i didnt have until switching from a 15cv-r motor to a 18cv-rx.

If you are using a plastic hex wheel hub i would recommend switching to a aluminum hub. Cause if you are using a plastic wheel hub with the torque that the 18 puts out it melted the the wheel hubs and melted them into the rems hex so S.O.L.. soright now I'm purcchasing new rems for my hpi.

So if your using a plastic wheel hubs after switching to a 18cv-rx i would recommend switching to aluminum wheel hubs.

spell check?? its RIMS man RIMS!! lol yea i saw the damage.. i was like D**m

i finally decided to go all out on the aluminum except for the difs cover

id bet that you had a loose wheel nut. I've snapped the axles on my hpi cars while using the plastic hex's and wheels. try using loctite on the wheelnuts from now on.
