Ok I read a lot that you are supposed to drill holes in the rims? I did this lol hope its the right thing to do. I read to drill 3 3mm holes in the rims. It made the tires really soft. Is this right?

For crawling, you drill holes, 3mm sounds like pretty big holes. You drill them to let air escape and return, thus allowing your tire to "flex" around obstacles.

Ok so I guess thats right... the bit i used was about the size of the holes in a MT tire... I figured it would work ok. Is that bad? lol. It deffinetly flexes...

No that wont hurt anything. You don't need that many holes, but the tires are supposed to be soft like that. You can't crawl with them air tight like the were before. Next time if using a bit that big you can just drill one hole and you should be ok. I drill to small holes in mine to try and keep it consistent but allow plenty of air to flow. The only thing that you might have problems with is if you run it in water, you might want to plug a few of the holes up, but I don't run my rig in water. I dont think it's good for the rigs and I take care of my stuff like its my children, maybe better lol.

Children LOL!! I think my son wishes I treated him as well as my R/C's J/K Matthew! LOL!!

I see these guys totally submerging there crawlers & I just kringe, I don't know how they do it. I could never!!

I bought a used rig for super cheap a while back, and the condition was awful. I would have never bought it if the pics would have accurately represented the condition. The guy must have taken it under water and in the mud a lot, all the metal parts like that hardware, axle parts, things like that were all starting to rust, and there was grassy muck in the axle stubs and things like that. I'm going to use the plastic axle cases, and give the chassis away, and I think that's about the thing on it that I'll be able to use. It was teh nastiest rig, I don't know how you can have a nice rig like that and then treat it like total shat. He should be ashamed and embarrassed, and should never be allowed to have an RC again. To lower the COG, he just compressed the rig and zip tied the cross braces on the chassis to the axle cases, and to limit articulation he put zip ties around the shock shafts. Total garbage, and what a lazy good for nothing SOB, I'd like to cut his intestines out while hes alive and strapped to a chair, after cutting one eyeball out, so he can still see what I'm doing with the other one.

LMAO WOW Charlie! You need therapy or something. Well as long as I didnt ruin my rims thats cool. I wont be running in water either. Every time i see a video of them running in water I'm like are they retarded? ITS ELECTRIC!!! Electric+water=bad... Oh well better their money than mine I guess.

It's easy, just find some water and hit the throttle. If I treated my son like I treat my Wheely King I would have been arrested a long time ago!

I ran my stock Slash off in the turd pond by a friends house to see if the ESC and servo was waterproof. I like to play in mud with rc cars the first day I got my Slash it was rain very hard so I went mud riding.with.

Yeah Chip, but you take care of your rigs and I know you well enough to know that you probably got most of the turds from the turd pond cleaned off. This guy looked like he drove it in the pond, then just threw it in a box still wet and let it sit there like that and rust. And he considered it "nearly new" lol.

Yep, my axial has been in the crap hole as well.

They must be a JOY to clean up after that!! And I thought running them in water was bad! LOL!!

:hehe:You guys sure make me appreciate "COOL CLEAR WATER"!!:hehe:
