I understand where you are coming from, some days it's calming to just do something repetitive without much thought. Other times you just can't get things to align right.

Most of the time, I don't mind beadlocks too much, just have to have time set aside so you don't have to rush it.

I find bead locks relaxing as well, even with progressive lenses, tiny screws dont seem to bother me. I love building and working on the mini's with a cup o coffee within reach, total de stressor ;)

I only have experience with two wheels: a set from Injora (used with JConcepts tires), which was mildly frustrating, and a set from Hot Racing (used with Vanquish tires), which was extremely frustrating. I often wonder if it's the wheels themselves that are difficult, or the particular wheel/tire combination that can make things challenging...

or the particular wheel/tire combination that can make things challenging...
It's the combo and it's not brand specific. I once mounted two sets of JConcepts Ruptures to two different sets of Injora rims. One was a nightmare and doesn't like to hold the bead to this day. The other went together smooth as butter and holds a bead tight as can be.

Yup, and not sure there's a rhyme or reason some are not combatable. It can certainly be frustrating though when they don't get along, but don't give up ;)

I'm kind of ashamed to admit that with two piece wheels, I never thought about the fact that you can split the rim, install the beadlock rings, then just slide each half of the wheel into the tire and tighten 6 bolts and be done.
