My husband and son drag race. They are looking for a good 2s battery. What are some good ones for the price? We had the protec one and for the money it's a waste...

Yea, SMCs are nice. I use Maclan for my shorty batteries for offroad buggies.

They have 2 soft packs with QS8 connectors, they also have a hard case with 8mm bullets.

Some other brands to check out are gensacearespammers Redline Drag packs (I heard the offroad shorty packs aren't that good, not sure about the Drag packs)

And there is ProTek, you already had protek and its a no go, I heard that their shorty packs for offroad racing is not that good either, it puffs up first use. For now I call ProTek ProPuff.

The SMC SRDs are good and so are the CNHL Parallel packs which are also specifically meant for drag racing.
