Midnight edition 😍 don't see many guys running black wheels! Looks clean asf
I love the black wheels but they’re hard to see at night races. I’ve been slowly switching back to yellow but most of my existing sets are the Black DE Racing wheels.

Won't be running it on carpet this season?

Well, if not, looking into a 2wd sooo, here comes another money pit! 😅🙃
No. If I can find a Schumacher Cat L1R for a good deal I may pick one up. I’ve always wanted a belt driven 4wd. A new kit is way too pricey though.

thanks for the links def gonna get a set at somepoint, now if I could only get black pre mounted cause 1/10th scale buggy tires suck to glue🤣
I prefer to use thin glue with an uncut plastic glue tip. No bands. You just dribble the glue in at the edge of the wheel and you can watch it fill the gap all the way around with capillary action. Spray a little zip kicker into a cup and then put the cup over the tire. Let the fumes do the work.

You should see me. I get glue on my fingers no matter what. I just wait and painfully peel it off lol. Well, sort of. I guess.
this last time was the worst I have done

imma need a tutorial on this 🤣

As promised I added some under the hood photos of the B74.1 now that I have it cleaned up. This one needs the least work now at the end of the season. Only thing I found while cleaning was the wing mount it broken. Went through and oiled the bearings, drained the shocks and just gave it a good inspection/cleaning. I soak the whole car down with Spray-9 then hit the real bad spots with a toothbrush. Then give it a quick rinse with the hose. (Low pressure of course) Blow it dry with the air gun and spray the whole thing down with this stuff I found called Boeshield T9. It goes on wet like WD40 but dries completely and leaves a thin waxy film. The cars always look great after that treatment.

I'll pay you to redo my car lol.
I may have been away from RC for a long time but I’ve been doing this type of work in the power sports and automotive world for a lonnnggg time. Now that I’m a machinist this stuff helps me keep my skills sharp. It just comes down to practice and remembering what you learned when things don’t work out.

Do you have a bad motor around? Practice soldering it up. Try routing the wires real nice. The risk is low when what you’re soldering is already burnt! 😂

I can solder. It's just the fact of getting my car clean lol. Well at least Indoor dirt isn't as messy, but I still got like over a year old dirt and grime near the diff cases and such 😅
And I say I keep my cars in tip top shape 😆😬
Cleaning it with my method takes literally 10 minutes or less. Usually closer to 5.

Here’s a picture of what it usually looks like before I clean it. That Spray-9 just melts the dirt off. (Pro tip: Wear some rubber gloves. It’ll dry your hands out something fierce otherwise)

I hope but also hope I don’t do anything bad just for that🤣
